Quick start
Create your Uptend account, verify your email, and open your first workspace.
This guide takes you from a brand-new account to a working workspace. It only takes a couple of minutes.
Create your account
Go to the sign-up page, enter your work email and a password (at least 8 characters, with one number or symbol), and submit. Uptend signs in with email and password.
After you submit, your account is created but you're not signed in yet — we first confirm that you own the email address.
If you arrived from a teammate's invitation link, your email is filled in for you and you'll join their organization once you finish signing up.
Verify your email
We send a verification link to the address you entered and route you to a "Check your email" page.
- Open the email and click Verify email. The link expires after 1 hour.
- Uptend marks your address as verified, signs you in, and drops you into the app.
Didn't get it? Use Resend email from the pending page (limited to one send every 30 seconds). Entered the wrong address? Click Sign up again to start over.
If you try to sign in before verifying, Uptend re-sends the verification link and returns you to the pending page.
Create your organization and workspace
The first time you sign in, Uptend sets you up with an organization and a workspace inside it.
- An organization is your company — it owns your members, roles, and billing.
- A workspace holds one product's data source, its profiles and its lifecycle. It lives inside the organization, and an organization can hold more than one.
If you signed up on your own, you'll be asked to name your organization and your first workspace. Pick names you'll recognize — Uptend generates a URL-friendly identifier from each.
Next steps
Once you're in, a few things are worth doing early:
- Secure your account — turn on two-factor authentication or add a passkey.
- Invite your team — add teammates and assign roles.
- Set up your workspace — give your workspace a name and logo.
- Define the lifecycle — connect a data source, then say what makes a profile active and activated. Both rules ship unwritten, and nothing is evaluated until you write them.
